It`s all looking a bit scraggy at the moment, but the LTT watercolour has moved on only a fraction but should begin to take shape soon. A lot of work is left on the poor little mite yet.

I will be sending out a general email to those I know about the Easter exhibition, so here`s hoping that it does not get cancelled.

If anyone does NOT wish to receive any future emails please let me know and i`ll delete the mail address as soon as practicable.

watercolour

24th January 2009:

The next watercolour of the Long Tailed Tit has been started and at it`s early stages. It`s extremely rough at the moment , and I nearly always start with highlighting very roughly the eye, beak and feet in order to give (to me anyway) a sense of what the subject will be. I normally work back to those areas when the paiting is nearing conclusion.
This watercolour will take some time to do gradually, but updates will go on the blog.

The exhibition at the National Wetland Centre, Penclacwydd is all but confirmed for 6th to 19th April, and once official will probably be advertised on the local radio as well.

Please note that from March 2009 my only site will be my `.net` site www.russartworx.net . Please bookmark this rather than my `co.uk` domain.

I will now be redirecting visitors away from my last co.uk website to russartworx.net, so this will end up the sole one from 2009.

I hope to put up some photography along with my watercolour paintings at Easter at the WWT.
It`s been a cold and overcast day, not great light, but I managed to capture some images reasonably well in Aberdulais this afternoon.

I will be back to painting soon, and will be renewing my hunt for a place to paint from in Llanelli as well. Any information can be emailed to me via the contact page on the website.

Easter exhibition

7th January 2009:

I will be displaying some of my work for a two week period at the National Wetland Centre for Wales, Llanelli in April this year. This will be over the Easter weeks from 6th to 19th April 2009.
