Just returned from a few days in Bournemouth over the hot Bank Holiday weekend. It was the first time that I had been to Poole Park as well, and this Mute Swan was not phased by being photographed.

The Avocet watercolour will continue shortly, although i`m likely to be restricted soon by some impending surgery again. It might even be the therapy I need!

My 35mm film SLR Pentax camera and lenses remain for sale as per my previous post, and all are in good condition. Please email for details.

I am still looking out for an alternative place to paint and draw around the Llanelli area, and any offers will be at least considered.

13th May 2009:

Well there is a new watercolour on the board of an Avocet. I`ve been trying to start this one for a while, and at long last the initial stages commenced this evening. Mainly a mapping out evening, but at least it is under way.

As before. I like to start with a basic eye an bill in place, very rough and with masking fluid that will be removed at the end before the final touches take place (a number of evenings away yet.)

Alongside this I took advantage of a cracking day last Saturday to get out with the cameras. This photo was taken at the WWT again, and sums up the rather nosey nature of this chap.
