Magazine article

 

I`m currently in the process of writing a magazine article / feature on ......... well, you guessed it. 

This may or may not happen, all very much an unknown, but hoping it might get published in a few months. You never know.

It`s not finished yet, but have a draft that i`m trying to knock into shape. Writing is definitely not my strong point, but it`s coming together.

Cattle Egret

 

It was good yesterday to have finally caught up with the Cattle Egret that has been around WWT Llanelli for the last couple of weeks. I have been spending time on the Reserve `concluding` a Kingfisher project, away from where the Cattle Egret had been seen the most. 

Cattle Egret are scarce visitors although birds can pop up here and there, sometimes in small groups, but still uncommon with us. I was beginning to think that this would be another bird I would miss, but fortunately it was still around behind (between the British Steel hide and the Dafen scrapes).

Back on the Reserve this weekend for Walk with the Warden (it`s going to be a hot one).

Another month, another walk

 

On Saturday 16th August it will be time for another Walk with the Warden at WWT Llanelli.

With the recent and ongoing warm weather, there have been plenty of dragonflies, butterflies and bees around. Let`s hope there will be a lot to see on Saturday.
